if the connecter port simply went in, it could possibly be a problem that could be solved by opening up the laptop. you can find many instructional videos on youtube. however, it could simply be broken. if that is the case, for them to charge you half the price, you might be better of buying another judging by the mere 350 price tag. the computer industry is always out-dating. a computer of much better standards is probably similar pricing now
